Teen Shot Twice in West Babylon

A 19-year-old man was shot in the left leg and right hand on a West Babylon street Wednesday evening, police said.

The shooting occurred at about 5:30 p.m. on Lamberta Court, which is off Platt Avenue near West Babylon Junior High School.

Police say the man who was shot was “self-transported” to a local hospital, where he was being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The shooter is unknown at this time and the investigation is continuing, police said.
