Track and (Baseball) Field at Farmingdale

was the place for sports Monday.

The Dalers baseball team beat Baldwin, 8-3 while the track team came in second to Massapequa but ahead of Syosset.

Baseball coach Frank Tassielli, whose team is 2-2 in league play and 4-4 overall this season, praised pitcher Tim Manolt, citing the junior's 7 strikeouts while allowing one walk and three hits in Monday's game, his second complete game of the season.

"This is what we're looking for," Tassielli said.

"We're grooving right now," he said.

Several yards away, three track teams were  competing, with Massapequa coming out the clear winner with 126.5 points, Farmingdale 81 and Syosset 45.5.
