Woman Caught Driving Drunk With 7-Year-Old Daughter In Car: Cops

The daughter was released to a family member, police say.

BETHPAGE, NY - A Farmingdale woman was arrested for driving drunk with her 7-year-old daughter in the car on Tuesday night in Bethpage, according to Nassau Police.

An officer on patrol was advised of an intoxicated woman driving a Nissan Murano in the Walgreens parking on 4120 Hempstead Turnpike at about 6 p.m.

The officer stopped the car and noticed the driver, identified as 50-year-old Desiree Doliber, had blood shot eyes, slurred speech and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath, police said.

After an investigation, Doliber was placed under arrest, police said.

Her daughter was a passenger in the backseat of the car. She was released to a family member at the scene.

Doliber is charged with aggravated DWI under Leandra’s Law and endangering the welfare of a child, police say.

She will be arraigned on Wednesday.
