Police Release Photos Of Bodega Robbers

It's the second store a man armed with a rifle, and with the same description, has robbed this week.

Nassau police are looking for a man who robbed a bodega in Valley Stream in broad daylight Thursday morning.

According to police, the man entered the Happiness and Fortune Grocery, located at 246 North Central Ave., at 10:08 a.m. He approached the 42-year-old man working at the store, pulled out a rifle and demanded cash from the register. The employee handed over the money, and the robber fled the store on foot, last seen heading west on Fritchie Place.

There was no one else in the store at the time of the robbery, and no one was hurt.

The robber was about 30 years old with a slight build, 5 feet 1o inches to 6 feet tall, 150 pounds, wearing a read and white Yankee's hat.

A man with a similar description, also armed with a rifle, robbed a Dunkin' Donuts in Elmont early Wednesday morning with a female accomplice.

Detectives request that if anyone has information regarding this robbery to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous, and you could earn a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest.
