In the wake of the attack on Congresswoman Gabrielle Gifford and 19 others in Tuscon, Arizona this past Saturday, the Democratic Club is holding a lecture on gun violence at the Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library to raise awareness on gun violence. Colin Weaver, deputy director of New Yorkers Against Gun Violence, is giving a lecture entitled, "Gun Violence, Political Vitriol and Rage," to create an open forum of discussion about this recent tragedy. There is a question and answer session following the lecture.
