Fire Department Parade To Step Off Next Month In East Rockaway

EAST ROCKAWAY, NY — The East Rockaway Fire Department has announced plans for its 4th Battalion Parade.

The route will start at the intersection of Denton Avenue and Phipps Ave. The parade will head south to Main Street, turn west to Atlantic Avenue, go north to Woods Avenue and finish near Memorial Park.

The parade is scheduled for Sat. Sept. 17. It will step off at 5:30, according to the East Rockaway Fire Department Facebook page.

Staging areas will start filling up with trucks at 4:30 p.m.

Following the parade, everyone is invited to a block party at Memorial Park.
