Hewlett-Woodmere Family Sues School For 'Anti-Semitic' Bullying
A $10.5 million federal suit says staff at Nassau BOCES middle school in West Hempstead did not stop students from abusing Gedaliah Hoffman, reports NY Post.

The family of a student at in West Hempstead has filed a $10.5 million lawsuit against the school, alleging that staffers stood by as their son was bullied by schoolmates.
Gedaliah Hoffman, an Orthodox Jewish special-needs student, was subjected to "vile anti-Semitic slurs and threats," according to the suit, reports the New York Post.
The suit, filed last week by the boy and his mother, Lori Hoffman, alleges that instead of stopping the bullying, staff at the school caused it to “become escalated by punishing only Gedaliah, although Gedaliah was the victim of the attacks."

The , which is named in the suit, cannot comment on pending litigation, according to a spokesperson.
A spokeswoman for Nassau BOCES also declined to comment on the lawsuit.
