LI Police Searching For Men Who Stole From More Than A Dozen Cars
Nassau police say the thieves targets cars in multiple towns in the county.

Nassau police are searching for a group of men that broke into more than a dozen cars across multiple towns in the county and stole cash and property from inside them.
According to police, the unknown men broke into 13 cars, and attempted to enter two more during the early morning hours between Dec. 19 and 23 in Cedarhurst, East Rockaway, Hewlett, Island Park, Lawrence and Woodmere.
The thieves stole an undetermined amount of cash, sunglasses, credit cards, gift cards, clothing, cellphone chargers and dashboard cameras.

Police say the majority of the cars they entered were unlocked. A dark-colored Chevrolet Suburban SUV with two to three men inside was seen in the areas.
Detectives request anyone with information about these thefts to contact Nassau County Crimes Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
