Massapequa Man Arrested After Police Find Illegal Gun In Home: PD

A Massapequa man was arrested Thursday night after police found an illegal firearm in a home where a verbal dispute took place, police say.

MASSAPEQUA, NY — A Massapequa man is facing weapons charges Friday after police found an illegal gun in his home Thursday night, police said.

60-year-old Gregory Greene was involved in a verbal dispute Thursday night when police responded to the site of the dispute just after 10:30 p.m., police said. Upon arrival, police said, officers found that Greene was the unlawful owner of a gun.

The gun was recovered and was not used during the dispute, while Greene was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm, police said.
