Man Dies Of Injuries In Elmont House Fire: Police
The fire took place on the night of Dec. 30.
ELMONT, NY — A 67-year-old man has died from injuries sustained in a house fire last week in Elmont, police said.
The victim, John McDonnell, was identified Thursday by Nassau police.
The fire took place the night of Dec. 30. Officers entered the basement, but were forced to exit due to heavy smoke and heat.

The Elmont Fire Department responded and removed three victims, including two females. They all were taken to hospitals in critical condition.
Several fire departments assisted in extinguishing the blaze.
