Police say the teen collided with a man and severely injured him, and then left the scene.

A Cedarhurst teen was arrested for a hit-and-run on a motorized scooter that severely injured a man in September.
According to police, Yosef Soyonov, 17, of Chestnut Street, was driving a green motorized scooter down the sidewalk of Central Avenue on Sept. 14 around 5:30 p.m. Police say he struck a 54-year-old man who was stepping out of Wok Tov, located at 594 Central Ave., causing himself and his young male passenger to both fall off the scooter, and injuring the man.
Police say that, after the crash, Soyonov and the other boy, who is believed to be 10 to 13, walked away without identifying themselves. The man suffered a serious leg injury and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
