Police ID Man Killed Crossing Nassau Expressway

The 24-year-old Inwood man died from his injuries an hour after he was hit by a car, police said.

Nassau County Police have identified the man who died while crossing Nassau Expressway in Inwood Monday night.

Police say Marcos Guillen, 24, of Inwood, was crossing Nassau Expressway at the intersection with Mott Avenue at 9:08 p.m. when he was hit by a 1995 Honda heading north on Nassau Expressway.

Guillen suffered multiple injuries and was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead by doctors at 10:22 p.m.

The driver, a 25-year-old man, stayed at the scene. Police conducted a brake and safety check of his car.
