Queens Man Broke Into Nassau Apartments, Fought With Cops: Police

Police said Kamarion King forced his way into two Inwood apartments and fought with officers before he was arrested.

INWOOD, NY — A Queens man was arrested early Wednesday morning after police say he was caught burglarizing an apartment in Inwood.

According to police, a man was sleeping in his apartment on Bayview Avenue when he was woken up by a noise around 1:30 a.m. Police say he found Kamarion King, 26, of Beach 24th Street, Far Rockaway, in his bedroom. King ran out of the room and fled the apartment through a back door, police said.

The man searched his apartment and found that two iPhones were missing, police said. He then called the police. Officers responded, and soon after, police said King returned to the apartment building and knocked on the door of another apartment. When someone opened the door, he forced his way in and ran upstairs, police said. The officers entered the apartment, police said, and placed King under arrest after a brief struggle. No one was injured.
