Reward Grows To $40,000 For College Student Acid Attack: FBI

The FBI is adding $20,000 to the reward offered by Nassau County police.

ELMONT, NY — As law enforcement agencies keep investigating the dousing of acid at Hofstra University student Nafiah Ikram, the reward has increased.

There is $40,000 available for information leading to an arrest, as the FBI added $20,000 to the money offered by the Nassau County Police Department.

Ikram, 22, was hit with acid in front of her parents' driveway on March 17.

The pre-med student is still unable to eat solid foods, Newsday reported.

The person fled in a red 2013 to 2015 Nissan Altima with fog lights, the FBI said.
