Second Man Arrested In Fatal Valley Stream Shooting: Police
Isaiah Gonzalez of Far Rockaway faces second-degree murder charges in connection with the Aug. 21 shooting, authorities said.

VALLEY STREAM, NY — Authorities on Saturday said a second person has been arrested in connection with an August shooting in Valley Stream that killed one and injured two others.
Isaiah Gonzalez, 21, of Far Rockaway, faces a second-degree murder charge in the Aug. 21 death of 20-year-old DeAndre Carter of Brooklyn. Gonzalez's arrest came two days after Kyle Matthews, 21, of Uniondale, was charged in connection with Carter's death, Nassau County police said.
According to police, Carter died after he was shot in the chest at a vacant store in Valley Stream. A 12-year-old boy and 17-year-old girl were also injured in the shooting that happened shortly before 8:25 p.m., police said.

Authorities said multiple rounds were fired during the shooting.
Gonzalez was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon in connection with the shooting, according to police. He was also arrested on an outstanding Nassau County warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

Gonzalez's arrangement was scheduled for Saturday.
