Vacant Building Fire In Elmont, No Injuries: Police
The Elmont Fire Department led other companies in extinguishing the blaze.

ELMONT, NY — Thick smoke was seen pouring out of a vacant building in Elmont late Monday afternoon.
Officers responded to the commercial property on 30 Meacham Ave. just after 5:30 p.m. The Elmont Fire Department got assistance from multiple local fire departments in putting out the blaze.
There were no injuries, police said.
