Want To Compete In The Olympics? Tryouts Are This Weekend On LI
Tryouts are being held on Long Island to find the Next Olympic Hopeful. Will it be you?
If you have dreams of competing in the Olympics, now is your chance to make them come true.
The United States Olympic Committee is teaming up with 24 Hour Fitness for a nationwide search to find the Next Olympic Hopeful. There will be tryouts held at 11 24 Hour Fitness locations across the country, and one of them is right here on Long Island.
The exclusive tryouts will be held on Saturday, April 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the 24 Hour Fitness in Valley Stream, located at 750 West Sunrise Highway.

All of the participants will be competing in events to demonstrate their strength, mobility and endurance. The tests include a 30-meter spring, pull ups and vertical jumps and more.

After the tryouts, 50 finalists -- 25 men and 25 women -- will be selected for the second round of the competition in mid-July.
