Woman Robbed at Gunpoint at Green Acres Mall Parking Lot

VALLEY STREAM, NY - A woman was robbed at gunpoint at a parking lot in Green Acres Mall on Thursday afternoon, according to Nassau County Police.

A man armed with a handgun approached a 60-year-old woman while in Macy’s parking lot at the south exit of the mall, and demanded she remove her rings and hand them over at about 4:15 p.m., police said.

The woman complied and the man fled on foot through the parking lot in an unknown direction, police said.

No injuries were reported.

The man is described as tall with a thin build, and light complexion, according to police. No further description is available.
