• Son Who Stabbed Mother 40X On Mother's Day Shot Dead By Officers: Police (patch.com) — Flanders Northampton Ambulance Corps responded after Southampton Town police fatally shot a man who was stabbing his mother inside a Northampton home on Mother’s Day. Officers say they fired only after repeated commands to drop the knife and an ongoing attack. The victim, suffering more than 40 stab and slash wounds, was rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital as state and county investigators review the shooting.
