Firefighters Find Man Dead In Flushing Day After Battling Fire

Police and firefighters were called to the building on Friday for a fire. A day later, firefighters found a 39-year-old man inside.

FLUSHING, QUEENS — Police and firefighters found a man dead inside a building in Flushing a day after being called to the address for a fire. Police and firefighters were called to 40-46 Case Street around 5:15 a.m. Friday, NYPD said. Firefighters extinguished the fire.

Firefighters who returned on Saturday found a 39-year-old man unconscious and not breathing in the building. Emergency responders declared him dead at the scene, NYPD said.

No arrests have been made. An investigation remains ongoing.
