FLUSHING, NY - A man was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds to his head and body in Flushing early Tuesday morning, police said. Cops found the man, 31, in front of 131-01 Fowler Ave. at 2:35 a.m. on Feb. 12.Police identified the man as Xin Gu, a Long Island City resident. He was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Queens, where he was pronounced dead. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing. (Lead image: Photo from Shutterstock)

FLUSHING, NY - A man was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds to his head and body in Flushing early Tuesday morning, police said. Cops found the man, 31, in front of 131-01 Fowler Ave. at 2:35 a.m. on Feb. 12.

Police identified the man as Xin Gu, a Long Island City resident. He was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Queens, where he was pronounced dead. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

The Jay Medal for Service was created in 2012 to recognize individuals who demonstrate a selfless spirit of commitment to and engagement with their community mirroring the multifaceted contributions of John Jay and his descendants. These honorees have demonstrated through their life's work that our shared narratives as a country, complicated as they are, can be better illuminated through the highest caliber of ongoing scholarship and advocacy.
