Man Sucker Punches 14-Year-Old At Flushing Subway Station: NYPD

FLUSHING, QUEENS -- Police are searching for a man who sucker punched a 14-year-old boy without explanation on the steps of a Flushing subway station.

The two walked down the stairs to the Main Street 7 subway station at around 5 p.m. on Saturday without exchanging so much as a word until the man suddenly hauled off and punched the teen in the face, cops said.

The attacker bolted down Roosevelt Avenue, leaving the boy in pain with a swollen face, police said. He was treated for his injuries at Flushing Hospital.

The NYPD released photos of the suspect, who police described as a man in his 20s standing at about 5-foot-7 and weighing roughly 18o pounds. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a beige shirt and pants, and carrying a grey backpack.
