Pedestrian Struck In Downtown Flushing Dies Day After Crash: NYPD

FLUSHING, QUEENS — A pedestrian who was struck by a driver in downtown Flushing Wednesday morning has died, according to the police.

Zhisheng Lin, a 67-year-old man who lived in Woodhaven, was walking on the sidewalk along Sanford Avenue near Main Street about 8:30 a.m. that day when a driver turned right to enter a parking garage and knocked Lin to the ground, the NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad found.

EMS rushed Lin to New York Presbyterian-Queens in critical condition. He died the next day, police reported on Friday.

The driver, a 69-year-old man, currently faces no charges in connection with the crash, police said.
