Queens Driver Runs Through Fence, Gets Stuck On Ledge: FDNY

MURRAY HILL, QUEENS — A driver smashed a car through a fence on a Queens driveway Wednesday and narrowly avoided plunging about six feet to the sidewalk below, according to the FDNY.

The car crashed into the fence on 162nd Street, near 45th Avenue in Murray Hill, about 3:30 p.m., the FDNY said. A picture released by the department showed bricks scattered on the sidewalk below and the vehicle lodged by its undercarriage.

Firefighters managed to get the driver out of the car and one person suffered non-life-threatening injuries, the FDNY said.
