6 Hurt When Truck Slams Through Forest Hills Bagel Store

A box truck crashed through a Forest Hills bagel shop Wednesday morning, injuring six people, according to multiple reports.
The truck plowed through Bagels for You at the corner of 76th Road and Queens Boulevard around 10 a.m.

Two of the six people injured were seriously hurt, but their injuries are not life threatening, DNAinfo New York reported.
“The truck sideswiped a car that was parked in front of Forest Park Chapel, put the car right on the sidewalk, and then he continued another half a block straight into the front of the bagel store,” witness Frank Ackerman told CBS 2.

Several news outlets have reported that a baby was among those injured, but DNAinfo, citing a fire chief on the scene, reported that although the infant “had some bodily fluids and blood from someone else” on it, the baby did not appear to be hurt.
The truck driver was not injured and remained on the scene following the crash.
