Spring 2013 Juried Exhibition: Up Close and Personal CALL FOR ENTRIES

OPENING NIGHT RECEPTION: Saturday, June 1, 2013 6:30-9:30pm
The Genesis Society is accepting submissions from Queens-based artists for its inauguralArt for All exhibition at the Genesis Center in Forest Hills, Queens. The 501C(3) not-for-profit organization provides a venue for Queens -based, emerging visual artists to exhibit and sell their work and for community residents to have access to exciting, new, diverse artwork. Four to six artists will be selected to participate in the 3-month exhibition and opening reception.
THEME: Up Close and Personal. The enlightening perspective an artist brings to the subject matter, bringing focus to the unseen and overlooked.
ELIGIBILITY: Open to all Queens-based artists, 18 and over, with original works that address the theme. Artwork should be available for sale, as purchases will be encouraged during the opening reception and throughout the exhibition. The gallery will retain 30% of the sale price.
ENTRY FEE: $10 administration fee for 6-8 images representing a series or body of work.
JUROR: Michelle S. Aragón, artist, curator and founder/Director of ArtSceneToday.com, an online gallery.
