What is the meaning of the controversial Book of Job, which appears to diverge sharply from the Biblical belief in a just God? We'll take a critical look at "strange" books such as Job, Ecclesiastes, Jonah, Ruth, Song of Songs, and Daniel, based on readings from the texts. Our teacher will be Rabbi Irwin Goldenberg, who served for many years as a congregational rabbi, and who has taught at Gettysburg and York College, PA. This is an eight-week class beginning Wednesday, February 2nd.
