Forest Hills Arts Educator Turns A Trolley Into A Classroom
The Art Table Studio has partnered with the New York Trolley Company to turn a classic trolley into a traveling art studio.
FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A Forest Hills arts educator is teaching kids to be creative in more ways than one: Tiffany Pierce's newest classroom is aboard a trolley.
The Art Table Studio has partnered with the New York Trolley Company to turn a classic trolley into a traveling art studio from April 15 to 17. The trolley will stop in Park Slope and Fort Greene in Brooklyn, the Upper East Side and Harlem in Manhattan, and Forest Hills in Queens.
“All of the seats have to remain in place, and creatively I'm up for the challenge,” Pierce told the Forest Hills Times. “I will utilize the benches and open space, and I believe I will even be able to fit a table inside.”

Pierce, who founded the Art Table Studio in 2013, said the three-day event is a way to test out her idea for a mobile "art bus" that can bring classes to different neighborhoods across the city.

Pierce is no stranger to unconventional classrooms. She once hosted art classes in Red Pipe Cafe on Austin St.
