FOREST HILLS, NY – New York Mets' shortstop Amed Rosario is teaming up with Notify NYC to encourage New Yorkers to sign up for emergency alerts and notifications.
Notify NYC is the city's free, official emergency communications program that provides public service announcements in English and Spanish. The PSAs are also available on Rosario's Twitter and Instagram accounts, along with the NYC Emergency Management's social media platforms.
"Whether in life or at the plate, there is not better way to prepare than having the information you need to make the best decision possible," Rosario said in a prepare statement announcing the partnership. "Staying informed with Notify NYC and Notify NYC Español allows me to feel prepared for any emergency, whether it is a traffic jam on my way to the ballpark or a pop-up thunderstorm while I'm running errands."
