Man’s Death In Farragut Houses Declared Homicide: Cops

The 44-year-old man's death in the Farragut Houses was declared a homicide, police said.

VINEGAR HILL, BROOKLYN — A man who died Friday after police found him semi-conscious in the Farragut Houses was killed, police said Monday.

Police had been called around 10:40 a.m. Friday to the housing complex — which falls right on the border of Vinegar Hill, Fort Greene and Downtown Brooklyn on Sands Street — for the report of an assault.

When they arrived, officers found 44-year-old Roshee Williams semi-conscious with trauma to his head. He was rushed to Methodist Hospital, but later pronounced dead.

Police said Monday that the incident has been deemed a homicide.

The medical examiner determined that Williams' cause of death was "blunt force injuries of torso," according to the Office of the Medical Examiner's report.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

Williams lived in the third floor of the apartment complex, records show.
