Belcourt Chef to Open Lulu & Po in Fort Greene

Lulu & Po, a new restaurant from Belcourt chef Matthew Hamilton, will open in Fort Greene in the spring, according to the New York Times.

The restaurant, whose focus will be on European fare, will move into the space at 154 Carlton Avenue that formerly housed upscale Senegal-influenced eatery . The space is small, and Hamilton predicts he can fit about 30 seats.

The Times says that Hamilton is naming his venture Lulu & Po after his wife and daughter.

Abistro () moved to the former Cellars space at Vanderbilt and DeKalb in May. The new space now seats up to 66.
