Citi Bike Offering Free Rides, Parties And Tattoos In Dumbo This Month
The "Bike From Home" party will have everything hipsters love — bicycles, tattoo artists and beer — under an arch of the Manhattan Bridge.

DUMBO, BROOKLYN — Citi Bike will be wooing Brooklynites this May with the things they love the most: biergartens, food trucks, discounts and tattoos.
The city-wide bike share program announced Wednesday that it would be offering free rides and membership discounts as well as hosting a slew of events in Brooklyn throughout the month of May.
The fifth annual Bike Home From Work party on Friday, May 19 will be hosted under the Manhattan Bridge, where cyclists will find the aforementioned hipster paradise of food trucks, beer gardens and tattoo artists.

And the following Saturday the party will continue with free rides in Brooklyn, as part of the Bike the Branches fundraiser for the Brooklyn Public Library. The catch is that you have to register for the event, which costs $20 for adults and $10 for kids.
Free bikes will also be available this month to those joining rides hosted by the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Finally, Citi Bike will offer a $25 discount to anyone who buys their $163 annual membership during the month of May.
Citi Bike plans to extend its reach to Prospect Heights and Crown Heights this summer. There are currently docks located along Brooklyn’s eastern coast from Red Hook to Greenpoint and as far inland as Bedford-Stuyvesant.
