Clinton Hill Bus Spitter: Police Seek Man Who Attacked Driver

The suspect became enraged after the B25 bus driver told him to do get off her bus.

CLINTON HILL, BROOKLYN — A ticked-off MTA rider spit on a bus driver and whacked her with his cane when she made him get off her bus, according to police.

The rowdy spitter began harassing his fellow passengers on a B25 bus driving down Fulton Street around 11:35 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 9, police said.

He became enraged when the 58-year-old driver pulled over on Downing and Fulton streets and told him to get off her bus, said police.

The man spit on the driver before he leaving then, when she followed him onto the street, swung his cane and hit her on the left shoulder and hip, police said.

The man fled down Fulton Street and the driver was taken to the Lutheran Medical Center where she received treatment for her injuries, according to police.

Police released photos of the suspect Monday night that show him to be a slim man in his fifties, standing six-feet-tall and wearing a white shirt, dark red pants and a dark baseball cap.
