Independent publisher Unbridled Books was founded in 2003 by veteran editors Fred Ramey and Greg Michalson with the goal of publishing "works of rich literary quality that appeal to a broad audience." Greenlight is honored to celebrate Unbridled's work tonight with a reading and panel discussion with some of their most exciting authors. Edward Falco's Saint John of the Five Boroughs (2009) examines the effects of violence, both personal and cultural, on its characters’ lives – themes he continues to explore in his new controversial Godfather prequel, The Family Corleone (published by Grand Central).

Richard Kramer was the director/writer/producer of many hit TV shows including My So-Called Life and Thirtysomething; his forthcoming novel These Things Happen is the story of an elite Manhattan family reexamining itself in the aftermath of an act of violence. Brooklyn author Janyce Stefan-Cole's new novelHollywood Boulevard is the story of an aging former actress whose voyeurism takes a turn when she finds herself being stalked. And Brooklyn author and indie favorite Emily St. John Mandel reinvents noir for the 21st century with an atmospheric story of jazz, drugs, foreclosed homes, and missing children. The discussion will be followed by a wine reception with authors and editors.
