A week of creative workshops with dance company Pilobolus during spring break.
How does an insect move? A space alien? A flower? Members of the internationally renowned dance company Pilobolus lead an improvisational workshop for children, inventing new shapes, creatures, worlds, and stories through movement. A special component of the workshops is the captivating world of shadow play.
Participants become a virtual production company by playing with projection sources, making props, or moving their bodies, with each child playing a vital role in the production. Students will have an informal showing of their piece at the end of the week.
Dance experience is not necessary.
