Academy Award winner Melissa Leo (The Fighter) delivers an unnerving, near-silent performance as Francine, a woman struggling to find her way after being released from prison. Rejecting human connection, she takes a series of jobs—on a farm and then at a vet’s office—where she ultimately discovers a deep connection and an intimate bond with animals. Gritty and spare, Cassidy and Shatzky’s narrative feature debut is about finding solace in unfamiliar places.
