“Moody and mesmerizing….deeply human.”—Keith Uhlich, Time Out New York

Uniquely obscuring the boundaries of narrative and nonfiction filmmaking, Miller’s debut feature follows a reformed drug dealer (newcomer Shannon Harper, playing himself) trying to reconcile his past. When he receives some life-altering news, Harper embarks on an ambiguous journey from the streets of Brooklyn to the Catskill backwoods. This meditative, verite-style drama was inspired by the director’s real-life happenstance encounter with Harper and won the Grand Jury Prize at Slamdance.
