Author Kate Christensen discussed The Astral with fellow author Jami Attenberg
PEN/Faulkner Award-winning author Kate Christensen celebrates the paperback release of her newest novel The Astral with longtime friend and fellow Brooklyn author Jami Attenberg! In the gentrifying neighborhood of Greenpoint, Brooklyn, rests a huge rose-colored apartment building called The Astral. For decades it was the happy home of the poet Harry Quirk and his family; but when his wife suspects infidelity, Harry is summarily kicked out, leaving him to reckon with the consequences of his literary, marital, and parental failures. Kate will discuss the book and her Greenpoint roots with Jami Attenberg, author of several novels including The Middlesteins, forthcoming in October.
