Rev. David Dyson, retiring pastor of the Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church, has quite a life story. He worked as a labor organizer with Caesar Chavez before spending 18 years leading a progressive congregation. LAPC also has a remarkable history: 150 years old, it still has the handwritten sermon delivered by founding pastor Theodore Cuyler after President Lincoln's assassination.
At Irondale, Rev. Dyson is interviewed by Emmy-winning talk show host Phil Donahue's stories about both his and LAPC's remarkable histories.
