Luxury Brand Sues Rolex Deli Over Name
The Rolex Deli in Fort Greene got slapped with a lawsuit from the high-end watchmaker.

Luxury Swiss watchmaker Rolex is suing a Fort Greene deli over use of their name, and demanding they pay unspecified damages and destroy all signage bearing the name, says the New York Post.
The Rolex Deli, on Fulton Street, took the name because it is “associated with quality and prestige,” owner Shawqu Ali told the Post.
According to Ali, the State Division of Corporations approved the name before he opened his deli four months ago. He told the Post that he intends to fight the charges.
