Man Gets Shot Walking His Dogs In Fort Greene, Police Say
Police are looking for a 40-year-old suspect who they say shot a man in the leg on Monument Walk.

FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — Police are asking the public's help to find a man who they say shot someone in the leg on the street near Commodore Barry Park earlier this month.
Nelson Blake, 40, came up to a 48-year-old man who was walking his dogs in front of 24 Monument Walk around 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, police said. Blake took out a handgun and shot toward the man twice, hitting him once in his left leg, police said.
The victim was taken to Methodist Hospital and is in stable condition. Blake was caught running away on two surveillance cameras, police said.
