During opening statements on Monday, prosecutor Viviane Dussek argued Hollingsworth attacked Young in a fight over a women the two men had met in a bar earlier that night, the Daily News reported.
But Hollingsworth’s attorney Stephen Drummond suggested police arrested the wrong man and named Stephon Taylor — a third friend who had been out with Young and Hollingsworth that night — as a possible suspect.
Taylor did not appear in court and Hollingsworth, whom the Daily News reported is the son of an NYPD officer, is out on $300,000 bail, court records show.
