Man Who Didn't 'Give A F---' About Slaying 76-Year-Old Grandfather Convicted, Prosecutors Say
Allen Cooper told reporters he didn't "give a f---" that he killed a 76-year-old bystander during a Fort Greene shootout in 2015.

FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — A man who fatally shot a 76-year-old bystander as he took out two rival drug dealers has been convicted of murder, prosecutors said.
Allen Cooper, 33, whipped out a gun and repeatedly shot at Lacount Simmons, 39, and Calvin Clinkscales, 43, near 58 Fleet Walk around 1:45 a.m. on Sept. 20, 2015, said prosecutors.
Herbert Brown, 76, a grandfather and fiancé, happened to be walking by was caught in the spray of bullets, said prosecutors.

Brown caught a bullet in the stomach and later died in Methodist Hospital, police said. Simmons and Clinkscales were both shot in the head and torso and died outside the Ingersoll Houses.
Cooper was arrested on April 22, about seven months later after a tipster alerted police he could be found in Fayetteville, North Carolina, said prosecutors.

When Cooper was led out of the 88th precinct in Brooklyn, he told reporters he didn’t "give a f---" about the people he had killed, the Daily News reported.
“I'm here and they're not," Cooper said.
Cooper was convicted of three counts of murder and criminal possession of a weapon in Brooklyn Criminal Court on Tuesday, prosecutors said.
He is slated to be sentenced on Nov. 14 and could face up to 75 years in prison.
