More Than 100 Firefighters Battle Clinton Hill Dry Cleaners Blaze
A fire that broke out Monday at a dry cleaners on Greene Avenue quickly spread to the second and third floors, FDNY officials said.
CLINTON HILL, BROOKLYN — Firefighters spent over an hour battling an early morning blaze at a Greene Avenue dry cleaners Monday.
The fire broke out around 5 a.m. on the first floor of Greene Ave Dry Cleaners, at 141 Greene Avenue, according to FDNY Alerts. Firefighters arrived to find significant amount of fire on the first floor and had to force their way inside, Deputy Assistant Chief Joseph Jardin said at the scene.
The fire then spread throughout the three-story building, traveling to the second and third floor and into "void spaces," Jardin said.

It took 135 FDNY members, both fire and EMS, to put the fire out. No injuries were reported.
The fire was under control by about 6:20 a.m., according to FDNY alerts. It is under investigation.
