NYPD Truck Crashes Into Fort Greene Building, Injures One: FDNY
A police tow truck hit a building at the corner of Navy and Sands streets, sending one person to the hospital Thursday afternoon.

FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — An NYPD truck crashed into the side of a building near Navy and Sands streets Thursday afternoon, injuring at least one person, according to officials and video from the scene.
Emergency responders rushed to the building on the corner of Navy and Sands streets just before noon on Thursday and found that a car had hit a building, an FDNY spokesman said. The spokesman did not have an exact address for the building that was hit.
Video onlookers took at the scene shows that what appear to be an NYPD tow truck stopped with its front end against the building, where a dent had been made in the wall.

One person with minor injuries from the crash was sent to the Brooklyn Hospital Center, the FDNY spokesman said. He was not sure if the person was a passenger or driver in the truck or had been in the building.
