Purses Snatched by Quick-Handed Crooks: Police Blotter

A quick-handed crook stole a woman’s purse while shopping at a Flatbush Avenue department store on April 11. The 57-year-old victim told police that she was shopping at Target when she left her purse in a shopping cart and left it unattended at around 4:40 p.m. When she returned at around 5:20 p.m., her purse was gone. The crook got away with her driver’s license, a credit card and her Marc Jacobs bag worth $110.
A quick-handed crook stole a woman’s designer handbag from her baby stroller while shopping at a department store in Atlantic Center Mall April 9. The 28-year-old victim told police that she was shopping in Old Navy on Atlantic Avenue when she put her Tiffany handbag in her baby’s stroller at around 12:40 p.m. But, 30 minutes later she realized that her bag was missing. On Old Navy’s surveillance video, an unknown crook is seen walking away from the stroller with the victim’s purse. The crook got away with her Tiffany handbag, Coach wristlet, four credit cards, health insurance card and $70 cash.
