Robber Hit Taxi Company Hours After Fort Greene Office Theft
The man tried to rob a Gowanus taxi company hours after he stole a woman's purse at gunpoint in the Fort Greene office space.

BROOKLYN, N.Y.— The same man who robbed a Fort Greene office at gunpoint on Friday tried to hit up a taxi company in Gowanus just a few hours later, police said.
The man, caught in surveillance footage, entered the Taxi Leasing Company at 330 Butler Street just after 8 p.m. on Friday. He showed his silver gun and demanded property, but instead ran from the business down Butler Street without taking anything. No injuries were reported.

Just a few hours before, the same man went into Ken Marble Inc. on Flushing Avenue and robbed a 53-year-old woman inside, police said. The man pointed his silver revolver at the woman and demanded money just before 6 p.m.
He walked away with the woman's pocketbook, which had her iPhone 5 and $800 cash, before fleeing from the office. There were also no reported injuries in this incident.

The suspect is described as a black man, approximately 25-years-old, about six feet tall and was last seenwearing a black knit cap, a black waist length jacket, black faded jeans, black sneakers and a multi-colored scarf.
