A brawl before the ball dropped resulted in the death of a 51-year-old resident of the Atlantic Terminal.

A 26-year-old man confessed to a tragic New Year's Eve scuffle that led to the death of another man nearly double his age only an hour before the ball dropped, cops said.

Ketter, a resident at the public housing at Carlton and Vanderbilt avenues, was declared dead at Brooklyn Hospital.
