Septuagenarian Robbed of His Glasses in This Week's Police Blotter
A pair of thieves prey on an easy victim, and much more in this week's roundup of crime from the 88th Precinct.

Two thieves robbed a 71-year-old man on April 1.
The septuagenarian told cops he was at the corner of Clifton Place and Classon Avenue at around 9:30 p.m. when the suspects approached him from behind and ran through his pockets. They stole his cash and eyeglasses, worth a total of $300.

A brute bashed a woman in the back of the head with a handgun on March 28 in a failed attempt to rob her wedding ring.
The 32-year-old victim said she waiting for the bus at the corner of Myrtle Avenue and St. Edwards Street at around 10 p.m. when the perp approached, flashed a gun, and asked for money. The victim replied, “What money?” which led to the suspect trying to rip the wedding ring off of her finger. The victim began to scream, and the brute clocked her in the back of the head with his gun and fled the scene. Three days later cops arrested a 49-year-old suspect.

Cell Swipe
A 15-year-old thief attempted to steal a man’s Blackberry on March 31, but ended up in handcuffs.
The 30-year-old victim told cops he was at Clermont and Flushing avenues at around 6:45 p.m. when the youngster tried to rip his phone out of his hand. A struggle ensued, and the teen fled the scene empty-handed, with the bold victim giving chase. During the pursuit the victim flagged down Officer Basil Omisanya, who collared the kid.
Face Slash
An overprotective girlfriend cut a rival’s face on March 27.
The 29-year-old victim said that she was at Carlton and Myrtle avenues at around 10 p.m. when her attacker — the girlfriend of a coworker — approached and said, “Stay away from my man!” and cut her in the forehead. Cops arrested a 32-year-old woman three days later for the assault.
Swipe in Chuck E. Cheese!
A thief swiped a mom’s purse while she celebrated her son’s birthday at Chuck E. Cheese on March 26.
The victim told cops the thief must have made his move at the kid-Xanadu in the Atlantic Terminal Mall at around 2:30 p.m. She lost an assortment of IDs and credit cards.
Car-Be-Gone
A thief stole a car parked in the lot on March 28.
The owner of the 2005 Camry told cops he’d last seen it in the lot on Ashland Place between DeKalb Avenue and Fulton Street at around 9 a.m. When he returned only an hour and a half later, it was gone.
