Thief Punches Fort Greene Woman And Steals Purse, Police Say
The woman was walking home near Waverly and Dekalb avenues when a stranger punched her in the face, police said.
FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN — A thief punched a woman in the face, shoved her to the ground, grabbed her purse and fled down a Fort Greene street, according to police.
The man approached the 27-year-old woman — who was walking home from the subway — on the corner of Waverly and Dekalb avenues around 10 p.m. on March 28, police said
The suspect had not been arrested as of Tuesday afternoon, but was caught on video surveillance footage wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jacket, gray sweatpants and gray high-tops, police said.
